3D Portfolio
Gather
A low-poly 3D adventure game
A personal project that I started to expand my skillset in different areas as a solo dev.
Player Character
I took a second pass at the player character after a few months of learning.
Middle image shows the new turnaround, right image shows comparison of old (left) and new (right)
Process
• Design and render 2D reference (Photoshop)
• Model and texture 3D form (Maya)
• Rig and generate animations (Mixamo)
Moss
Each of Moss's behaviors was hand-animated.
Middle image shows three: Idle, Restless, and Shake-off
Process
• Design and render 2D reference (Photoshop)
• Model and texture 3D form (Maya)
• Rig and animate behaviors (Maya)
Environment
Common elements (trees, rocks, fence segments, etc.) had 2-5 variations that were painted into the scene using Unity's Polybrush.
Tweaking the lighting for the key times (day, night, dawn/evening) became my compulsive warm-up exercise.
1/1

Scyther
I'm a big Pokemon nerd
Trying to switch to Blender from being a Maya main, I worked with a premade design.
Process

Travelling With Blobs

Experimenting with low-poly characters & effects.
